hi i am planning to go to geneva around end of sept for about 4 days are there any good / scenic drives near by ? are there any adventure activities like hiking near by ? if not, then some nature trail or bungee jumping or para gliding or para sailing or even some good cycling tours ? if there are, are they guided ? many thanks in advance.
Most scenic drives would be mountain country - either Swiss or French Alps, but that's an hour minimum from Geneva. If you want properly local, a lakeshore drive might be an idea. No bungee jumping that I've seen, but quite a few paragliding options, both in Pays de Gex (French side, close to Meyrin and GVA airport) and around Saleve. The link below has a list of some of these: geneva.angloinfo.com/af/241/... Jura mountains have some good hiking, again go towards Gex on the French side. Things get more adventurous once you get to the Alps proper (e.g., Chamonix, Valais/Wallis glaciers, etc.) but this would have to be a full day trip. Took a day hiking trip around Plan de l'Aiguille in Chamonix (about 1h 10min from Geneva by car) a week ago and it was some of the best hiking I've done.
