I am staying a long weekend in Geneva from May 22 to 24 (24th Monday being bank holiday). Have 2.5 days to roam around. Please suggest day excursions/ tours in/ around Geneva. Is it better to go by public transport or should I book myself with a tour operator? Would like comments for some specific places 1. Annecy ? how does one go there? when is the market day? 2. Geneva city tour? any good operator?
you could do it yourself for sure.tours are expensive.you could do gstaad one day,second day montreaux and third day city and then take your flight.make sure you do the chateau de chillon in montreaux and walk around the lake area.it is so beautiful. in geneva city you oculd just walk around the lake and maybe take a walking tour or a city tour bus with explanations.but just walking around the city is fun and lots of photo opporutnities! have a good trip,

Geneva Airport is a terminal station. All trains go in one direction, and stop at Geneva Gare Central. more
