On 2 July, 2012 (a Monday) we are traveling from Geiranger to the Aaelsund airport for a flight at 1800. Is there public transportation which can get us to the airport in time for the flight? It appears that the Fjord 1 scheduled trips don't arrive in Aaelsund early enough.
Hi and welcome to VT! It should be possible. Take the ferry from Geiranger at 08:00 fjord1.no/default.asp?page=3... Take the bus from Hellesylt at 10:10 bestilling.nor-way.no/nbeiis... Spend some time in Ålesund, before you catch the bus to the airport. avinor.no/en/airport/alesund... Have a great trip!

Is it a good idea to obtain tickets for travel between Aelsund and Geirangerfjord ahead of arriving or is it easy to get tickets once there? Also, how about purchasing tickets for the bus tour to Dalsnibba from Geiranger? Thanks!
