gdansk to Ostrava by car

Hi any idea how far it is in hours or Km to Ostrava in Czeck Republic. Also anything we should know about the roads etc. Can we use Euros? Are there money machines? We are middle aged couple so any hints welcome..regards to all

    Hi Its about 690km, will take nearly 12 hours, have a look at this link for directions. Most of the route will be on E75 which will be a normal one lane in each direction road. viamichelin.com/viamichelin/... Euros will not be popular, though you can use credit/debit cards in modern garages. Happy motoring

    Don't forget that roads in Poland are of quite bad quality and it also can be a kind of challenge because of crazy drivers.Polish Railroad Company used to have an option of transporting cars.Maybe it's worth checking if it still exists.I've travelled that way twice from Gdynia to Zakopane and once to Katowice and was very glad.Now I find driving a car very exciting so I do it myself, but I must admit I always choose side roads.Have a good time!
