I would like to climb the Zugspitze (via the Hollental) tomorrow on the 15th of August? Is anyone aware of whether crampkns would be required or not?

As long as you're not extremely fit and well trained I would not recommend to make this as a one day tour. Better to stay in the Höllentalangerhütte and start early from there on the 2nd day. 2.200 altitude meters (that's really a lot for one day) category "C" (difficult)
