SHOULD I COME TO GALVESTON

I AM TRYING TO FIND A RESORT ON THE GULF SHORES IN OR AROUND GALVESTON THAT WOULD BE ON THE BEACH, HAVE LOTS OF PLACES TO SEE AND FISHING PLACES FOR MY DAUGHTERS BOYFRIEND TO FISH FROM. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS. WE ARE PLANNING ON COMING IN NOVEMBER. I JUST WOULD LIKE TO FIND SOMEPLACE FUN

    South Padre Island is a long drive South from Galveston (6-8 hours, approx). It is prettier than Galveston, but Galveston does have its own appeal (historical, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn).
