      Urban nightclubs in Chicago

      Chicago Apr 13, 2014 at 5:25 AM

      Dear community,

I'm planning to visit Chicago in may and I want to visit urban nightclubs. Can you tell me what the hot places are I can visit and where they play urban music (R&B, Dancehall, Reggea) and where there is a mixed crowd? I'm looking for a decent place.

      cable ride?

by gdelzer Online Now May 3, 2013 at 3:48 PM

I remember a ride back in the 1980s that was in town and went up a tall hill--like a gondola or skyride. Am I remembering correctly? And what ever happened to it?

    • Weekend trip to Galena

by mjgomez Online Now Mar 4, 2008 at 9:33 AM

I am taking my husband to Galena in the end of March for his birthday. We are bringing our daughter who is 6 months old. I want to go to dinner on Saturday night and would like to try Log Cabin Restaurant. I would like to know if it is child friendly because the reviews I read say that the restaurant is small. Please help me, I really would like to take the family somewhere enjoyable.

    • TIps for Galena in December

by Pettine Online Now Dec 15, 2004 at 11:57 AM

Hello Everybody ! I'm going to spend a few days in Galena next week with my husband and haven't found a lot of things to do. I was there once in March so I know the town a little bit. But besides walking through the town and having a nice lunch or dinner somewhere, it doesn't seem like there's a lot going on in winter. The winery's tours end in October, one restaurant that a friend recommended is closed next week.....At least I didn't find a lot on the web - and there's no snow in sight for a sleigh ride or snowmobiling. Does anybody have ideas/tips ? Thanks a lot & happy holidays to you ! Pettine
