Hello all Travelers, I am planning on a trip to Galapagos Islands (Ecuador)from Dec 27 - Jan 5. It is not final yet, I am researching to see what is the best month to go. For that I need your help, If anyone has gone, would you please tell me what is the best month to visit Galapagos, so I can see good wildlife and scenery there? And which Islands you can recommend ? Also how many days is enough? Thank you so much in advance, any information is super helpful. Cheers :)
IMO there is no time that is not an incredible journey on any of the islands. Any of the islands you are allowed to venture upon will offer an experience. I was there in October and had great weather. The water was so warm I didn't even need a skin to stay in for hours of snorkeling. With the right tours you can cover all of the islands you can get to legally in a couple weeks. My daughter did a 2 week dive tour with Agressor and covers a couple more islands than I did on land but she could only swim around and not actually land on a couple due to the laws governing the preservation.

I have only visited Galapagos Islands in June/July and can’t compare it with other seasons, but as Al says above it will be a great experience any time. In June/July we had some sun and some overcast. It rained very little. The water was quite cold and I used a wetsuit (shortie) when snorkelling. One thing you will miss if you visit in December/January is the Waved Albatrosses at Punta Suarez on Isla Espanola (Isla Española - Isla Española, Ecuador. They have their breeding season in April - November and to see their courtship ritual was very fun.
