I was wondering how much a train ticket would set me back from Stockholm to Gävle City? I understand that buses are cheaper so it would be great if someone could enlighten me as to the cost of either!
Right now the cheapest fare one way Gävle-Stockholm is 244 SEK. Buses are less expensive but take longer. Of course, if you book well ahead you might find cheaper prices in both. Train: SJ www.sj.se Bus: Swebus Express www.swebusexpress.se

Hello, I always use SGS-bussen (www.sgsbussen.nu). 130 Skr for single fare taking 2h 10min. You will save 30 - 40 minutes by taking the train, but it usually cost quite a good deal more (if you cannot book well in advance).
