I am coming to Fussen in march and coming from Milan. Really want to come into Fussen from west Kemptnere or Innsbruck. Are there trains or busses that come into Fussen without going through Munich first. I want to go from Fussen to Munich but want to come from Innsbruck or Kemptner Thanks in advance for any suggestions
You should be able to go from Milan to Fussen via Innsbruck. See bahn.com/i/view/GBR/en/index... Kempten (if that is what you mean) is between Fussen and Munich so you would go through it on the way from Fussen to Munich. Enjoy your trip.

You can get from Kempten to Füssen by train and bus. You have to change from train to bus in Pfronten. Check for more detailed info on the German railway website: www.bahn.de When you type in Kempten and have to select go for Kempten (Allgäu) Hauptbahnhof and for Füssen ---- Füssen Bahnhof The fastest travel from Innsbruck to Füssen is with three changes in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Ehrwald and Reutte from train to bus to train to bus, it takes 3:15 hours. But looking at the short connection times I would dare to predict that you will miss a connection and it can nearly take as long as taking the trains via Munich... I have done such travel and even had to change from train to train to train only; already the first train was late and I missed all the connections and arrived two hours later than intended...
