What are your suggestions for hotels or pensions or bauernhofs near Füssen or Reutte in September for a night a couple in their 60's on a budget? We can't afford and aren't interested in luxury ... just nice, clean places with our own toilets ... hopefully places with character and a comfortable ambience.
Hello, On our last trip to Bavaria, we stayed at the Alpenstuben hotel. We had a wonderful view of Neuschwantstein Castle from our balcony. I believe the room was about 125 euros a night, but there were 4 of us. This is a nice hotel, in the middle of town, with parking available. It is just a block from the ticket center for Neuschwanstein. Donna

Has anyone ever stayed at the Haus Rösel? We're trying to make our minds up between staying in an in-town hotel (like either the Aldstadthotel zum Hechten, which a friend has recommended, or the Hotel Alpenstuben) or staying in the countryside in a pension or baurenhof (possibly Haus Rösel or one of the others)
