Which one of the Hotel Toyoko chain hotels is closest to the ferry terminal as I will be arriving by ship and returning to Korea the next day. The hotel guide lists several Toyoko Hotels in Fukuoka. I would like to know which one is the closest. Thank you.
I'm assuming that the ferry terminal you are talking about is near Fukuoka Port Tower. The most convenient location would be the Fukuoka Tenjin Branch. If you are returning to the ferry terminal, this is the best too.

I took the ferry to Korea a few years back from Hakata port. We stayed at the Toyoko near Hakata station. Taxi ride took 10 minutes and was less than 1000 yen from memory. This map should give you a bit more of an idea. jrbeetle.co.jp/english/acces...

Having said that, as Dru said, Tenjin looks to be marginally closer.

It sounds like you are trying to do a quick and cheap visa renewal, but if you have the option, staying in Tenjin is a lot better. Fukuoka isn't that large so the train system get's you anywhere in very short time.
