Are there nice malls near Merridian Al Aqha hotel, or any other place of interest close to the place?
Sorry. Your out of luck. I have stayed at this hotel several times (see my page on Fujairah) and I always rent a car. Nearest town is Dibba, which is about 5 Kms away. Not much there apart from a few small shops (which always seem to be closed when I go there) and a most beautiful mosque. Khor Fakkan is about halfway betwen the Meridian and Fujairah. Great place to visit if only to walk along the corniche. Safaar supermarket is good. Set on 2 floors it has a wide range of most everything. The nearest shopping mall would be in Ras Al Khaimah or Sharjah. For places of interest see my Fujairah page, but again, you will need a car to see most places, although there is a courtesy shuttle to Fujairah (and I think, Dubai) but it is on a first come, first serve basis and so a seat is not reliable.
