Thanks for your replies to my previous question! There is no free hotel transfer. The hotel charges Dh250 for a ride(that can accommodate 6 people) but unfortunately I'm all by myself. That is really expensive. I know I can take a taxi, it should be safe. But will a taxi charge more than Dh250? Does anyone have any idea? I read from Lonely Planet that there is a mini-bus from Deira. Is it a safe and not-too-troublesome alternative for a single female?
Well Taxi from Airport would cost you almost the same. Yes there is a Taxi Station in Deira which have mini-buses to Northern Emirates. After getting out of Airport catch a taxi and ask the driver to drop you in (Deira Taxi Stand). From there you can see many mini-buses waiting for passengers. The price should not be more than 40 Dirhams. They also belong to Dubai Transport Company, very safe and comfortable and all passengers are insured :-) Its not that much of a hassle even for a female, you just have to spend more time to avoid spending more money.
