Are there things to do and sights to see near the Amtrak train station in Fresno? Thanks!
Admire the downtown Water Tower designed after a medievel German water tower. This tower actually held the city's water supply for many years. Located at Fresno and O Streets, it is now a historical landmark. A little further away in the Chaffee Zoological Gardens, a different take on a city zoo. Located on Belmont street. Costs to get in about7.00 ,3.50 over 62. All aboard!

When my wife and I are in Fresno on our way to Yosemite this summer we plan to visit the Forestiere Underground Garden. I'm afraid it is not particularly near the Amtrak station, in fact according to MapQuest it is about 9 miles away, but it seems like a truly interesting place to visit. undergroundgardens.com/tours...
