    DB timetable
    reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/qu...
    Start: FRA
    Destination: Coburg

Best deal would be a Rail&Fly ticket if offered by your airline.

Take the train, as abalada said - and forget about coaches, this option does not exist in Germany.

I used to live in Coburg, and now I live in Frankfurt :).

The train is probably the easiest, but there has been a law change recently in Germany that has allowed a new wave of cheap national coaches. So this is now actually an option.

You can search for a route here:

    http://www.busliniensuche.de

Probably you'd have to take a bus from the airport to Nuremberg, and then get the local train from there to Coburg. The alternative is to take the train there and change - whichever is cheapest and easiest I guess.

Coburg is a pain to get to because it's the end of the line. In Cold War times it was pretty much the last stop before the East German border.
