Vacation Rentals in Frankfurt

Has anyone heard good or bad things about Interhome? Traveling to Germany for the first time and they have an apartment in the Nied area of Frankfurt. Is this neighborhood fairly safe? It will be my "home base" to travel from while there. Anyone know of other places that rent furnished apartments?
