This is the plan for the end of October this year. Is there any "must do" or "off the beaten path" things to do along the way? We will return to Frankfurt from Prague and we will have two weeks. Part of the reason we are in Frankfurt is to visit my boyfriend's family. Thank you, in advance, for you input!

Should we spend say a day in Frankfurt and head out to Mainz after that? We will be flying home from Frankfurt. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Does anyone know if one hour will be enough for me to get off my plane, have a beer and catch my next flight? I have a business meeting in Frankfurt Germany in 3 weeks and then I am taking 4 days to see some things before flying back to the US on the 5th day. My question is, what is a recommended camp that I should see? Would I take a train to it? And can it be accomplished in one day?

Arriving Frankfurt 7:15 AM driving north to Koeln then northeast to Schwelm by 7:30 PM. What sites are there that we should see? A quaint town? A castle? A Roman ruin? A great place to eat? A beautiful church? I know it's not much time, but I also know there has got to be something there that I just shouldn't miss. Thanks.
A family group (possibly 15-20 people) is planning a trip to the home of our ancestors; Aschaffenburg in Bavaria. We will be spending about 2-3 days in that area & are then looking for a river cruise for approx 7 days. My questions are these: 1) Is Aschaffenburg a good place to base ourselves for that long? In other words, are there interesting things to see & do in the area? 2) If we take the cruise from Mainz, should we go north to Koblenz &/or Cologne or south on the Rhine or should we take the Main River/Danube east & south to Passau? We are looking for the most scenic route with the most to see in the port cities. 3) Any suggestions on which cruise company to use? i'd appreciate any input. Thank You
