Which station please for the train to Saint Malo from Paris. Is there a direct train in July. We are staying overnight in Saint Malo....Is there a bus to Mont-Saint-Michel Thanks
Paris-Montparnasse and yes there are some direct TGVs although at other times it is necessary to change in Rennes, either way it takes between 3 and 3 1/2 hrs. It takes 1 hr by bus from St. Malo to Pontorson for Mont St. Michel (st-malo.info/mont-st-michel.....

Thanks for that. Just trying to work out the Ponterson connection. We stay in Saint Malo overnight.....plan to go to Mont St-Michel the next day....then return to Paris by train. So to return to Paris do we go to Ponterson?

There are some direct trains to St M and some with changes at Rennes. Fares vary according to departure time. Alternatively, you might investigate the Keolis Emeraude buses from MSM to Rennes, where you can pick up the train to Paris: destination-montsaintmichel....

That would one idea. However there no direct trains from Pontorson but the connections are ok with several trains each day. Check the times for the exact date you wish to travel from Pontorson to Paris at the website www.voyages-sncf.com and be aware that reservation is compulsory for an TGV train that you might use. Alternatively there is a direct bus from Mont St Michel to Dol de Bretagne or Rennes commencing 8 July for the faster trains to Paris destination-montsaintmichel....
