Hi, Here is the official site for the Pont du Gard. Scroll down towards the bottom and you'll find the transport section that gives the timetables. As you will see there is one bus from Nimes and one from Avignon, so up to you to choose. pontdugard.fr/fr/toutes-les-...

Hi Alec We found it very easy (and surprisingly cheap) to visit by bus from Avignon when we were there last September. The only limitation is that there are only a few buses a day, so you need to do your homework. I have written a series of travel tips on using public transport to get around from Avignon to neighbouring attractions such as Pont du Garde, Villeneuve and Orange on my Avignon page, so perhaps you might find them useful? It's an utterly brilliant place, and well worth the scant effort involved in visiting! Regards Cathy

Well worth visiting. We stayed in Avignon and after some checking went by a tour coach that included Les Baux-de-Provence, which is also well worth visiting. I've got a page on Les Baux-de-Provence and a travelogue on my Avignon page. Sadly I do not have the name of the coach company that operates from Avignon, but it was very professional in spite of the near riot caused over a funny named crepe (read page for details - LOL)
