Two bus rides in southern Brazil

Greetings from cold Seattle. I'm going to Porto Alegre for the World Social Forum this month. And would like to see a bit of Brazil. I'd like to visit the falls. Can I catch a bus from Porto Alegre to Iguacu? How long a ride would that be. Also, I'd like to go from Iguacu to Montevideo. Can I catch a bus? How long is the ride? Thanks a million. Henry
