Hi everyone We are a married couple(42 & 41) and we are seriously considering on purchasing a property in the Combuco area north of Fortaleza. Initially as a investment/holiday property with a view to moving out there in about 3-4 years time. We have been to Brazil (Salvador and Natal) on holiday before and both speak passable Portuguese, having spent two years living and working in Lisbon a few years ago. We have a few questions if anyone would be so kind and answer for us: What is Combuco like to live in, is it safe, are there restaurants and things to do etc. Does anybody know of the proposed golf development that is going ahead nearby. Does Combuco attract foreign holiday makers as well as native brasilians - we may want to open a small bar. Is there much development going on in the area. We have loved our trips to Brasil and are seriously considering a permanent move to this beautiful country. Please, please, please - any advice and details would be most welcome. Mike and Vanessa
