For Ft. Worth Natives Only, What Kind of neighborhood is Motel 6 in?

This Motel 6 is located at 1-35W at Alta Mesa Blvd., Exit #44, 6600 So. Freeway. I'm on a strict budget and don't want to spend a lot on a motel room, it's approx. 7 mi. from downtown Ft. Worth and 29 mi. from DFW airport. I'll be renting a car and will also be visiting Dallas for a day. I need to know if it's a safe middle class neighborhood or it's in a ghetto or barrio? I don't want to be mugged coming home late at night. or see a lot of homeless people running around. Please advise.

Thanks for the advice...but it's a little late, I went to TX in April and wound up staying at a very nice Super 8 in Irving. Had no problems whatsoever!
