My family and I just returned from a week at the beach. We stayed approximately 16 miles down the Fort Morgan road from Gulf Shores. We were perplexed by many jagged wooden pylons embedded in the sand. Most of these were fully visible during low tide. It almost looked like an old barricade system. Any idea what these are?
We toured the Fort here today and had many questions about the interior rooms. Can you tell us if there were prisoners held there and who slept on the bunk beds?
