Traveling with Tweens and Teens

Hi all, I am going to Ft. Lauderdale with 4 kids and staying on the beach next week. Ive been researching things to do and would like suggestions for active kids within a budget. Other than beach Id like to choose another activity-Catamaran tour? Jungle queen, segway tour. If anyone has kids in the 8-14 age group and has some must see or do suggestions (or must Avoid), please advise. It will be our first visit to Ft. Lauderdale, so any advice from experienced travelers with kids is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
