Girl's night out in Ft. Lauderdale

I'm stopping in Ft. Lauderdale for one night early May with two other girlfriends and was wondering if someone might be able to suggest an inexpensive (no more the150/night) hotel in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. I looked at the Riverside Hotel in Las Olas but it is too expensive. Ideally I'd like to stay somewhere within walking distance (but a short drive is okay) to some cute restaurants/bars. We are young and in our mid/late 20's. Any suggestions for an inexpensive hotel, nice outdoor restaurant, and a young bar atmosphere for afterwards? Thanks!
