Sorry - we really need more details. What are your interests, what do you like to do on holiday, how many days, what's your budget? Once you can answer a few of these questions, VYers should be able to give you some suggestions.

Here is a link to my Clearwater Beach page:

I think Clearwater Beach is one of the best places in Florida. It has beautiful white sand and much entertainment in the area. You can do beach and sun during the day and find things to do at night.

Yes, more info is needed. What are your interests. How long are you going to be in FL?
Florida is a pretty big place with a very diverse climate and tourism base.
December is cooler, even in South Florida.
I agree I love Clearwater Beach, used to have a condo down there.
I also am a big fan of the Florida Keys (lived in Big Pine Key).
If you are down for at least a week, one suggestion (depending on your age, budget and interests) would be to hit South Beach in Miami, check out the Everglades and then a drive down the Keys, stopping in Key West for a couple Days.
Check out the travel pages and forums for more information on Florida and let us know what you would like to see and do.

As soon as you said south Florida I thought of the Florida Keys. Key West in particular. I've never been, but heard great things about it.

I would recommend Key West for a Dec honeymoon...it's the furthest south so best chance for warm weather. Lots of wonderful restaurants swimming ,boating and everything from luxurious hotels to quaint B. and Bs . It's very tropical and only 90 miles from Cuba!!
