Hi a couple of us are plannng to goto Florida for a couple of weeks would it be best to plan ourselves or go thru a travel agency? Pros and cons please
Go on your own. Check on line what you would like to see and do and just book all needed reservations yourself. TA just complicates your life and limits what you can do and where you can go especially since many times they have no idea about the place you will visit.

Unless you don't have or can't rent a car or don't want to or can't drive, I would do my own planning for anywhere in the US, and most foreign countries.

I agree, unless there is reason you can't/don't want to drive I would plan your own trip. With a couple of weeks you could do a lot of exploration on your own time.

Hi We always plan our own trips. In these days of austerity you should ensure that you get more for your dollar instead of paying the commission of a 'middle man'.
