Good Place to Stay near Mt. Hood

      Oregon May 10, 2013 at 5:59 AM

My wife and I are going to do a road trip around Oregon in September for our anniversary and are looking for suggestions of nice places to stay in the Mount Hood area. We won't be bringing camping gear, so looking for a nice little hotel or B&B in the area with good views and opportunities for hiking and nature.

      Thanks!

      Dune Buggy Rentals in/around Florence

by rmdw Online Now Aug 6, 2007 at 6:56 PM

I'm considering renting one-man dune buggies for myself and a 17 year old friend. Does anyone have any advice about what companies to check out and/or which ones to avoid? Robert

      Obsessive Walker

I have crossed the country a few times by going on Greyhound through their Ameripass. I am now going up the west coast and have decided to stop somewhere on the Oregon coast. Since Greyhound only serves a few stops, I've narrowed it down to either Coos Bay or Florence. Here's the catch; since I don't drive and, yes, have no license, I'm at the mercy of sidewalks and shoulders. I'm wondering which is the best town to get around in and what's the easiest way by foot to get to the various beaches. Also if you know of any other towns I should be interested in...
