I am traveling to Cordial Golf Residence Il Pelagone, Gavorrano, Italy, from the Florence airport. What would be the best transportation to take from the airport to residence?
The best way is to rent a car or a cab convenient but much pricey.

Obviously renting a car or hiring a taxi is possible, as it is from airports everywhere in Europe (and elsewhere, no doubt). However, Gavorrano is a long way from Florence (220km, a drive of around 2h 20m in good conditions) and taking a taxi (or organising a private transfer) will not be cheap. Otherwise, you can take taxi or bus into Florence (not too far from the airport) and take the train. Airport bus information: aeroporto.firenze.it/EN/inde... The bus stops at Florence Santa Maria Noella station (Firenze SMN) where you will catch the train to Gavorrano. Time, details and fares in English on the official Italian railway website: trenitalia.com/homepage_en.h... Journey time is from around 2.5 hours, one-way fare from 14.20euro. There are some direct trains, others will require you to change. You do not needto buy tickets online in advance. Ticket machines are easy to use and have English language options. They accept cash, give change and will accept cards with chip & PIN. If your card is unchipped you can use the ticket office; expect to queue. Allow time for buying your ticket before the train departs (it can be busy) and make absolutely sure you validate (date-stamp) them before boarding using the yellow machines on the platforms. There are on-the-spot fines for non-validation and conductors do check.
