Dep is every 75 minutes. This is the most popular railway in Norway to tourists, all deps all days are filled up in tourist season. Price is the same even if internetbooked on nsb.no

the trip isn't very long. The walk back down is fantastic, easily doable in a day. Not to be missed.Wish i could go back again this year.

Instead of walking down rent a bike at Flåm about 200NOK and bike down in 2 hrs. Steep, very steep, on gravel winding road, the flat asphalt down in the valley.
