What to do?

by kevinism Online Now Mar 25, 2013 at 3:47 PM

I am coming to Fire Island this summer. I'm pretty sure everything will be rebuilt by then, though I heard they shut down the nude beach. What should I do for the week I am there?

If you're going to stay and hang out in either the Pines or Cherry Grove - the two most popular and trendy parts of Fire Island, then there's no cause for concern. The beaches and dunes were badly damaged and beach front properties severely destroyed from Sandy's aftermath but repairs and reconstruction have been ongoing and Pines and Cherry Grove are up on the mend for sure. And by summer when you'll be here, things will have been greatly back to normal. As for swimming in the raw at the Pines and Cherry Grove, heavens, it's a perfectly normal thing to do here for ages! It's one's choice of course and that is well understood.

The fun and free style and all the partying involved is legendary...and you'd have your fill (you know what I'm talking about).
