Is there a train or bus from Lisbon to Ferriera do Zezere? How long is the journey and would we need to change?

There are two direct buses per day from Lisbon, one at 1330 and one at 1800. Journey time is 2h 45m, one way fare from 11.40 euro.

Back to the question, I don't think there is a railways station in Ferreira do Zêzere. For further inquiries regarding the Portuguese railways network a visit to www.cp.pt, the official website of the train company, is advisable. There is a full version of it in English.

Now, if you just want to get there you already have your answer. If you are a train buff you can investigate regional connections by bus to Ferreira do Zêzere from Tomar and Entroncamento, locations which are well served by the train service. Of course, if you stop in Tomar for a couple of hours you will be doing yourself a great service, as this small town is one of the most interesting in the country.

Ferreira do Zêzere has bus service from Tomar on weekdays only. That trip takes 55 minutes. Last bus is at 1905hrs. Details at the terrible website www.rodotejo.pt

Tomar has trains from Lisbon every 1 - 2 hours.

I can find no bus service between Entroncamento and Ferreira do Zêzere
