Has anyone taken the train to Ferragudo? - I have found the cp.pt site, that says there is a train there, but there are no details of where the station is - if indeed there is a station - maybe it is just a platform! I need to know if I can pay on the train, and how close to Ferragudo town the station is thanx
Some sites say the nearest station is Estombar, but this seems to say there is a station at Ferragudo itself: algarve-tourismus.com/html/w... Why not contact the local tourist office?

thanks a million Gaminari - that helps a lot - I had already tried the tourist office at Lagos - but there was a language barrier! I can breathe a sigh of relief now - we will be there on Tuesday!!

There is a train station called Ferragudo. Its the station just before Portimão. Be aware, the train station is about 2Km from the town itself. Its a lovely walk by the river Arade, but if you come with luggage, it wiould be better to get a taxi or the bus
