Can anyone tell me the name of the area outside the concert hall in Mostar where families and young people used to meet to talk and eat refreshments before the war?

This site: http://www.zfbh.ba/zfbhenx/index.php shows the 390 train from Ploce to Mostar leaving at 17:06 and arriving in Mostar at 18:36. Can anyone confirm this? and are there other trains at other times?

We plan to travel on Monday 24th June.

Looking at other travel around Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro it's hard to find in-date information so any help with this would great.

Does anyone know how much it would cost to get the bus from Makarska to Mostar and the other way round? Thanks

What is the fare from Mostar to Sarajevo?

I know its best to use local currency, however we are just going on a short day trip from dubrovnik and are wondering if its common to use croatian currency in mostar? we are from the us, so we won't have euros with us. I know that any change we get might be in bosnian currency.

If you just 2 or 3 hours to visit medjugore, what would be on your list? I want to go to st James church and apparition hill--I thought the hill first, then church, is that a could order? Also how long does it take to climb apparition hill? Is it steep? We would be visiting medjugore in conjunction with a drive to mostar ( we want to spend the night in mostar) so logistically is it closer to see medjugore first and then go onto mostar or see medjugore when we leave mostar the next day to drive back to dubrovnik?

Just wondering, it seems as if Mostar is rather small, at night are there restaurants open? Also is there an area people stroll around a bit at night?

Hello, My husband and me will arrive at Split on July, Sunday 29th at 11 am. Unfortunately we are missing the bus (10.55 h)to Medjugorje. Therefore we have the possibility to arrange a taxi from Split to Medjugorje. Our taxi has 2 places more,in this case the "taxi trip" will cost € 30 p.p. Cheers, Miranda

Hi, we would like to stay for a few days somewhere around Visoko - specially to see "pyramid of the sun" and Tunnel Ravne. Is there any camping site (for car and 3 tents), with water and toilet? Hotels are too expensive for us :-( Thanks for any info :-) Dusan, Czech Rep.

From Mostar, we ll reach to Pristina. Hey everybody, I will be going to Mostar from Sarajevo and continuing on to Dubrovnik. If I take the early train from Sarajevo to Mostar, which passes an unbelievably beautiful route as I have been told, and thus arrive rather early, then spend the day and take the bus to Dubrovnik in the evening, do you think that would be a sufficient amount of time to see Mostar? Supposedly the buses Mostar-Dubrovnik only run on Mondays & Wednesdays, and I would be coming there on a Monday, so basically I would have to do as stated above or find an alternative way to get to Dubrovnik the next day. Hi everyone, I am planning a trip Belgrade southwards to Greece. So far I am thinking of traveling to Sarajevo and then to Mostar. My plan is to then go south to Montenegro. What city/town there would be the best option in your opinion? I am indecided between Podgorica, Kotor and Budva. Criterions would obviously be the city itself but also the availability of transport starting from mostar and the connection possibilities going south towards Macedonia/Albania. Any thoughts? Hi there! I have read on some travel guides that the buses from Mostar to Croatia (Zagreb in my case) don't leave from the main bus station (next to the Train station)but from some other location on the "Croatian" side of town. Has anyone taken this bus to Zagreb (the one that departs at 7:00 and travels via Livno, Kupres an Bosanska Gradiska) and can confirm me that? If true, a google earth location link to spot the place would earn you my most absolute admiration!!

Hello all, My husband and I are planning to travel from the US to BiH in August. I'd like to bring some small gifts for people we stay with (I'm thinking of going on Couchsurfing.com for a few connections). Chocolate in the US is nowhere near as nice as that of other countries, so I don't want to bring that :) Would people appreciate little mementos from US cities?
