Hi, we might be coming to Fayetteville on the wekend of July 10. Is there anything special going on then? I have not been to Fayetteville since 1999, I heard a rumor that Fort Bragg now has gates and check points and that you have to have your military ID just to get in. Is that true? Thanks for all the help, Stacey

There's that, but yes about the military ID and also your vehicle needs the up-to-date decal for you to be allowed on base. If not they do a complete check of your vehicle, engine, bottom, top, trunk and all that good stuff. Security is very tight compared to the days of old.
