Morondava to Tulear/Ifaty (possible to do by car?)

      Madagascar Aug 20, 2015 at 5:36 PM

Day 1: Morondava to Manja and Day 2: Manja to Ifaty

I have various answers from local agents about the above arrangement. Some said it can do by two full-day drive, while more tend to say without 3 to 4 days it's impossible. First of all why I have such request to the agents is that I want to avoid taking domestic flight (price is not a problem but it is not reliable). Secondly I would rather tour back from the south (ie Tulear) back Tana via the RN7 by car (again, avoiding flight) as I need to catch my flight back the other day.

I don't know which side of the agent should I trust. Madagascar road condition is not a thing that I can expect like other places. Please help me for this. Thank you.

Is there a waterfall on Nosy Mangabe?

I'm writing a novel based on the island and because I've  never been I'm dying to know.  I've seen pictures pop up when I've googled Nosy Mangabe and just wondered if it was true.

      Lemurs on Ile St Marie

Nosy Sainte Marie Apr 8, 2012 at 2:21 PM

My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon to Madagascar and was looking at Princesse Bora Lodge. It is very important for me to see Lemurs and as I understand Ile St Marie is not really the place for it. Could anyone advice a day trip from the island to somewhere where you can see a large amount of lemurs? Any tour operators that you can book with on the island or any advice?

      Many thanks!

My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon to Madagascar and came across La Petite Traversee as an option. It looks amazing! Paradise, good for active people, beautiful water and beaches and we'll get to see a lemur! We're not looking for five star accomodation, but clean and neat is essential and we are only concerned about one thing, privacy. Obviously being on honeymoon we would like some privacy, but are not anti-social types. Just wanting some advice from those who have been to La Petite Traversee as to the amount of privacy a honeymoon couple could expect? Many thanks.

We will be in port for a few hours only, and always prefer to do our own thing. Is the cruise terminal within short walking distance of the town please?
