What's the town like? Are unpaved roads in the undeveloped area drivable with regular cars?

As a rule no problems traveling with a car. HOWEVER if you want to hit some 4 wheel back roads we have them.

Arkansas is very much a natural state, however we are modern. ;-)

Thanks for your reply. I wasn't really thinking Arkansas was "backward" in anyway. I bought a lot in Fairfield Bay and understand most of the roads are not paved. What I wanted to know was, are they in decent shape even though unpaved? In photos of some resorts the roads were bare wheel tracks, so that's what I was asking about.

As a rule, roads are paved and in pretty decent shape. However if you bought a lot, it may be located in a new developed area. If that's the case the road may not be finished yet. On the other hand, if they are selling lots, even if not complete, it should be usable by a normal car.

You may have seen logging roads, or some of the 'boys' 4 wheel play grounds, or hunting access roads.
