cruising to freeport in july
would like to spend time with a family instead of the usual sightseeing things
this is our fifth trip, taking my 11yr old grandaughter and thought it would be
nice for her to see how they live and what they eat
I am looking for a nice public beach near the docked cruise ships to spend time with my family. We don't really have time for an excursion because the ship leaves in early afternoon. All that I have found are pricey excursions with very minimal time to play at the beach. We are going for the sand and water experience. Can anyone help?
Hi everyone, we are planning to visit the Island of Great Exuma in Octobre 2013. I was checking air fares with some travel sites but about %820 was the best price I could get to make the Trip from Miami to George Town and back one week later. Does anyone know of a local company that could serve us on a cheaper alternative? Unfortunately, we are already fixed to certain dates as we arrive in Miami on 10/9 and have to leave from there on 10/16 at about 5pm, so a direct connection by airplane would be most convenient for us. Any help would be really appreciated.

I'm going to be travelling to the Exumas in the spring and am looking at camping on the beaches leaving only footprints. I was thinking of taking a mail boat to one of the out islands. How are the bugs and are there any islands of recommendation?
I visited Norman's Key a few times in the early 70's, it was an fun and active place then with some rental cottages on the water and the most beautiful bar on a hill overlooking the harbour. I know the Cay fell on hard times, But I have heard that it is now being redeveloped....is that true?
Hi we presently live in the uk and have a 4 year old daughter, we are thinking of relocating to Great Exuma and would appreciate any advice anyone can give us about, education , hospitals the best part of the island to buy, setting up a water sport business or restaurant ,café ? ,is the internet available ,satellite tv, etc we haven’t been but will be going in the next six weeks, for four weeks Regards Gary & Amanda
Good afternoon: We have a party of four traveling to Georgetown, Bahamas on 5 Nov 04 and will be departing on 6 Nov 04 on the Nektron Rorqual. Due to the hurricanes, our room has been cancelled at the Peace and Plenty and we have been unable to locate another hotel. Per the International Operator, we are unable to call the Bahamas due to phone line troubles. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. PS We only need one room.
Where can I get a list of hotels with tel and fax numbers? Also would like Realestate Agents numbers. I own 4 lots in Bahama Sound #4 and thinking of selling 2 and building on the other 2. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike
