      Slow dancing restaurant in Perth?

      Perth Jan 10, 2015 at 8:12 PM

Hi, I'm visiting Perth with my fiancee in February. Could anyone advise of a romantic restaurant in Perth that has a dance floor for slow dancing? I'm not into bars with loud music, would like a more quiet, intimate and romantic kind of night. Thank you!

    • Advice for traveling in WA

by jeanie99 Online Now Jul 5, 2014 at 10:49 AM

      Hi everyone,
My husband and I are from England and beginning in September we are starting a round the world trip for 3 months to celebrate my 70th birthday.
As part of the trip we are traveling in WA for 5 weeks hiring a camper van for that period.
Our intention is to travel from Perth to Exmouth and back. From what I have read the West coast is not highly populated and I was wondering about buying petrol and the towns where we can buy it, wouldn't want to run out that would be a nightmare.
Also what are the best places to stock up on food and supplies.
Should we book our campsites before we go or will this not be a problem booking as we go.
We pick up the van on the 29th October for 5 weeks.
Our main interests are snorkeling and walking.
Oh we are not allowed to take our campervan off unsealed roads but would love to get some walking in the national parks.
Any advice and suggestions for our trip would be highly appreciated.
      Jean

I am told that there is a tiny very venomous jellyfish that is now showing up at the Ningaloo Reef--we are planning to be there next April...should we worry about this?
      thanks!

Snorkel spots in Cape Range National Park

by lovinoz Online Now Nov 28, 2011 at 6:39 PM

We have booked to visit Exmouth / Coral Bay from 26 December - 1 January. We will have a rental car.

I've reserved two tickets for the 7:30pm turtle tour at Jurabi Turtle Centre on 30 December and was thinking that since we will be driving from Coral Bay, it would be good to spend the day in Cape Range National Park. I would like to visit some good snorkel spots in the park.

      Can anyone suggest good spots?

Can anyone confirm if there is a toilet block somewhere in the National Park where we can change out of swimwear at the end of the day (before our 7:30pm turtle tour)?

Can anyone confirm if there is a place to get a meal in or near the National Park - or do we need to pack our own dinner?

      Thank you :)

Ningaloo Reef in December - accommodation, tours and entertainment

by lovinoz Online Now Oct 24, 2011 at 5:33 AM

      Hello,

We have booked flights to Exmouth on 26 Dec to 1 January and plan to spend most of our time focussed on Ningaloo Reef.

We have booked a rental car, but not accommodation. I'm torn between staying in Exmouth versus Coral Bay and would welcome suggestions. It seems that most of the whale shark and manta tours leave from Exmouth, but from what I've read, you can also snorkel straight off the beach in Coral Bay - is that true?

Since we will be there over new years eve, can anyone suggest whether it is best to be in Coral Bay or Exmouth for NYE? Do you know if anything cool is happening?

We can split up the time if its best to spend time in each place.
