Dog Friendly Lodging in Estes Park

by vssinfl Online Now Aug 4, 2006 at 6:10 AM

Anyone had any experiences with a really nice dog friendly hotel or cabin? Some will not let us leave our pet in the room while we are gone. Any suggestions? Thanks!

It's probably to late but just in case you still need it, a good place to stay with dogs is Triple R Cottages, 1000 Riverside Dr, Estes Park, CO 80517 970-586-5552 If you get cabin #6 (I think) it's far enough from the others that no one would even know if your dog were barking.

It was about 8 years ago that we stayed there but they had decent little cabins at a decent price. Not a luxury place but it was clean and near the park. The afternoon that we got there a deer wandered by our cabin and the morning we got up to leave there were several elk feeding right outside. It was awesome!

    Hello,
Did you find a place that was good to pets? Did you take your pet to Estes? I am going back and forth about taking our dog with us. What was your experience like? Thank you for any advice.

We stayed in Allenspark at the Hideout cabins (honeymoon (log) cabin with little kitchen); very rustic (with television and full cable channels) and nearby stream and a short trail for the dogs. They had a small water and food bowl. Bring your dog bed or blanket. Quiet and private area with the little town of Allenspark that has a good sandwich shop that accepts dogs on the porch. At Estes Park we had to have our dogs outside of the fenced patio to eat (Ed's Cantina- great casual food and atmosphere).
