Is there a bus to San Luis Potosi from San Miquel de Allende
What are some travel barriers (weather and transportation barriers, diseases, pollution, terrorism, cultural barriers and local customs) when traveling to San Miguel de Allende?
I will be in SMA this summer and would like to take a 1 day introductory welding class. Any knowledge of one? Thanks in advance for taking the time to respond.
I am wondering if there is a public pool available in Guanajuato for lap swimming and public swimming? We'll be living there for a month and would love to keep up my exercise.....Thanks!
my husband and I will be in SMA next weekend when he has a B I G Birthday and I wondered if anyone has recently experienced a truly special spot there?? We like all kinds of food; do NOT need it to be Mexican fare. (we've not been there for a few yrs and just usually go to less expensive places)
I have been checking online and so far I have only found an ETN bus leaving at 8:00 am from Guanajuato to Guadalajara. Is there any other bus line with earlier departures? Or any other alternative transportation available? Thanks in advance.
My daughter will be visiting us when we are in SMA. Does anyone have suggestions where she can go hiking and/or climbing? Thanks

Hi! I am considering a day trip to Zacatecas by bus from Guanajuato. How long does it take? Does the bus leave early enough in the morning and late enough in the evening so I could have most of the day to visit Zacatecas? Thanks.
Please send me a list of events for December or a site to ck.before travel.
We are going to San Miguel the end of October and staying in the San Antonio area. We used to love going to Cha Cha Cha on previous visits but understand it is now closed. Does anyone know if that is true? Is there another restaurant in its place now? We would love some other suggestions for good restaurants in that neighborhood.
We just returned from the State of Guanajuato and my husband is ill. He has a rash on his chest, arms and back, but not on his face. He has no fever today. But in the night he was shivering, first cold, then hot. He has been very tired and achy. It is a holiday weekend here and our doctor's office won't be open until Monday. We don't think the emergency room is very good at this kind of thing. So we haven't gone there. Of course, this illness might have nothing at all to do with Mexico. But we are wondering if anyone has had a similar experience after travel there. We didn't just stay in town. We also went far out into the countryside. Thank you for any suggestions you can give us.
Hi! I am planning a trip where I will stay in a hostel in Guanajuato and will have 9 days of visiting time. Since I am making Guanajuato my home base, I would like to visit other cities near by as day trips. I know nothing about these places, but realize, at least that some are smaller than others and of course, and perhaps several could be visited in one day, while others would take several days. Nonetheless, I am on a limited budget and so must return to Guanajuato to sleep. Also, I do not have a car, so would likely take a bus. With that in mind, What are your recommendations? My thought was the following: Guadalajara ( I know, more than one day, but possibly city center highlights?), Queretaro, Morelia/ Patzuaro, Zacatecas. San Luis Potosi, Aquaclaientes,San Miguel de Allende. I have read that Dolores Hidalgo is very important historically, but architecturally, not of that much interest, but I am not sure. I assume I will spend 3 days or so seeing Guanajuato as well and can, of course see it in small chunks of time each day as well. I have a lot of energy and don't mind long days, but am I just crazy to try to see all of this in my short time? I really appreciate your help. Thank you for any suggestions.

My cousin, Barbara Faith Corrovibuis, lived with her husband Alfonso in San Miguel and died in 1996. Her husband died a year later. Where could I find information where they are buried in San Migue? I will be visiting in October.
I'll be in Guanajuato next week and I've booked three nights in this hostel and I'd like to know your comments about it. Thanks!
Does anyone have good instructions for bus travel? I need to know what bus leaves DOLORES and takes me to airport. (ANY airport that American Airlines flys into) Traveling with two children & Husband. THANK YOU!!!
Hello, We need bus services from ANY nearby town to Guanajuato. THEN the return trip from DOLORES HIDALGO back to an airport. We are flying AMERICAN AIRLINES to either BJX, or SLP, or wherever american flies. THE next question is which BUS carrier transports to each town. I have been to ETN website and it gives option in drop down list, but then when I need to process, it says that route does not exist. Thanks for the help. We are coming in August.
I will be traveling to San Miguel de Allende in August. I'm flying in to Mexico City and taking the bus. I've already learned a lot about this process by reading the answers to others' postings. I still have a couple of questions: (1) I will arrive in Queretaro between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. Are there still buses running at that hour to SMA? (2) I will be returning to Mexico City via bus on a Sunday. Do buses run as frequently on Sundays as they do on weekdays?
How long does it take to get to Las Pozas from Guanajuato? Is there public transportation? How much does it cost? Thanks
Hi! How much is it approaximately for a ticket for a performance at the Teatro Juarez? I imagine it varies from performance to performance depending on what the show is, but I am trying to get a little idea at least for planning. I can't seem to find a ticket price on line for the theater. Thanks!
I will be stayig in Guanajuato for about 10 days. Is there a spa or gym that allows day passes? Thanks.
Hi, I am from Mexico and I am here asking something about Mexico. LOL But I know here there are great travelers and since I have never been in Leon Guanajuato, maybe you can share your experience with me. I need to find a budget hotel in Guanajuato, not too fancy, but good for a girl alone with no much money. Some suggestions? They will be really appreciated.
Hi Folks-- Will be going to SMA end of April, 2010 and finding we'll be there for Temazacal being held on April 28th. Cost is25USD/per person. Has anyone gone to this? Seems pricey for a dip in a hot springs bath with herbs under the stars, or is there more to it? Thanks!
First, thank you all for the information about speaking english in the previous post. I would like to follow up on a question asked to the group last May: Is there any change to the safety or political tensions in Guanajuato? Anything a gringo needs to be aware of? Or is it business as usual and just use "common sense" as you would anywhere? Thanks oh.. PS... I'm sure this has been asked 100 times, and I admittedly have not searched the forums, but for the locals and frequent travelers of Guanajuato, where are some great places to eat? I mean really unique and "local"; not something I would typically find in a tourist guide or in a hotel pamphlet. thank you!
