hi folks, we will be visiting cabo in june for 4 nights... we are a party of 4 adults and 2 toddlers, 1.5 and 2.5 yr olds... we're actually staying in a resort in San Jose Del Cabo... any suggestions on kid friendly activities? how about kid friendly restaurants? would we need to rent a car? how much per day for renting a car? trying to figure out whether it would be better to rent a car than taking a cab or what not... we do have 2 toddlers traveling with us... thanks in advance...
where can I buy jewelry in La Pas,Mexico
My boyfriend and I are looking to book an all-inclusive in July. We are looking at the Casita rooms at Secrets as they have a private plunge pool and sun deck. Previously at other resorts, we have to wake up at 7am (or earlier) just to leave towels on a pool chair and we don’t want to have to wake up so early on this trip. My question is, is this really necessary for this time of year? How busy are the all-inclusive? Should we spend the extra money to get a plunge pool and sun deck? or can we sleep in and still get a chair by the pool?
i plan to visit Cabo San Lucas in May and would like some recommendations for hotels within walking(safe walking) distance from the popular nightclubs and restaurants in Cabo. I would prefer one of the nicer hotels and don't mind paying the price. Thanks, Michael
The resorts say sailing is nearby, but i cannot find anything saying what the sailing is. Can anyone with knowledge of sailing give me some idea of what is available?
I am in awe of how beautiful this area looks. I am thinking of spending Sept in Loreto but want to know where the best shore snorkeling is? I plan to have a kayak so could also kayak over to areas. How far out are the Islands from shore? Is it safe to kayak out that way (lots of boats, strong currents ?) Also what area would you recommend a solo female stay in,I'm thinking of the Loreto bay area but would love to stay in town if there was a recommended safe place (with good snorkeling close by) Thanks for any help Deb
My husband and I have planned a trip for the end of July and we think we are staying at this all inclusive hotel, unless we find some place that looks better. Were looking for any kind of adive or thoughts about this place. Good pools? How are the beaches? Food? Drinks? Clean hotel? Rooms? Overall thoughts on the hotel? Thanks for the adive and help!
Are baseball games held in Cabo San Lucas during April?
What shots are recommended when visiting Cabo? anti-viral? twinriz?
Okay, so I read that you can take a Suburcabos bus from Cabo San Lucas to San Jose, but it only goes as far as the megamarket next to highway. What do you do from there? How do you get to the main city center? Is there another bus or do you have to take a cab, or walk? It's kind of funny that the bus doesn't go to the city center. What about the estuary?
We will be travelling in that area around La Paz and Loreto this winter. Our trip will begin at the airport in Cabo, where we will pick up our car. We have never been there, so we thought we might spend a couple of days seeing the city. We are young adventurous travelers with a toddler and a kindergartner in tow. We've been to many other resort cities in Mexico and quite frankly we would like to avoid the resorts. We are looking for a hotel that is low-key and comfortable, ideally with a kitchen so we can prep meals as needed. Anyone know of anything they would recommend? Thanks!
Hello I'm Jay, ill be going to Cabo in October with my parents and a friend of minefield a week while the Sammy Hagar thing is going on. I know the day will be filled with drinking, swimming and sun bathing, but where can a single, attractive, fun, young, hilarious, 28 year old do at night down there. Lets be honest I'm looking to have lots of wild fun down there and looking for great people to do it with. Weather your younger or older I'm always down to have a good time, relax and party. So if you or maybe you know someone heading down that way at that time hit me up and maybe we can party together. TTYL :-P
My husband and I are going to Cabo the first week in February. Is it better to choose an inclusive hotel, or can you recommend a hotel with nice restaurants in the vicinity?
My old work colleague went to this hotel last month and said ti was bit pricey but worth every penny. I just found it online, on hungrybuy.com for about half of what he paid for it and i seriously considering buying it. Anyone been there before and can give me some feedback?
(THIS IS AN ALERT) there are a number of small private airports in the area, but due to the G20 Meeting, the authorities are restricting flying into the area from La Paz to the cape during this time, from my understanding; so I just wanted to alert anyone who is or knows someone who flys into this area.
Going to Cabo corridor in June. Some in our group are steadfast set on dining at resorts and their "5 star" dining options. Can someone tell me just what we are in store for per person$$ wise. Factoring in drinks and gratuity I m guessing 150 each. One night is fine...the other four I can enjoy the office, giggling marlin...etc. the rest of the trip. I just want to be prepared. Thank you. Chris
Staying in Cabo Colorado villa. Do we bring clubs or rent? Can we find a good Green fee before we leave or take our chances when we get there.? Want to spend most our time enjoying the villa, but at night want some options for 40ish something married group. Don't want five star and don't want one star. Want to enjoy Mexico but don't want to have bad memories or regrets either....who knows if or when we will ever return. Thank you
Where is the best place to rent snorkling gear in San Jose or La Paz... If you have prices that would be spectacular!
Hello, I've checked all the forum queries regaring my particular issue and could not find an answer so here it goes. I'm flying into SJD airport (Cabo) and staying at the RIU Palace resort. I'd like the name and phone number/website of a company offering private car transportation. I'm not interested in shared vans or walking down to a highway to take a bus or a taxi. Any suggestions?
Hi All: Could somebody suggest a set of maps and books that would help in our drive from Tucson to CSL? I have seen reference to the book "The Magnificent Peninsula" which seems to be well received. However, it appears the last edition was in 2001. Is this still worth getting used? Also, are the National Geographic Maps of Baja Norte and Sur decent or are there others to get? Finally, if anybody has a GPS, are there GPS maps for Baja? We have Tom-Tom and Street Atlas for GPS units. Thanks for your input! P.
We're staying at an all-inclusive hotel when we go to Cabo in May, but we're thinking that we'd like to do dinner off property a couple of nights. Any suggestions?
Hi Fellow Travelers! I'm headed to Cabo in May and my husband and I want to do some snorkeling and scuba diving. Any spots that we must check out? Also, does anyone have any reccos for a good company to book with? We're also interested in a one day fishing excursion. Any reccos are greatly appreciated!
I am staying at Posada Real in Los Cabos in February 2012. Have checked many forums for information on this resort and can not seem to find anything. Has anyone stayed here and if so, is it safe? Is it safe to walk to the small town there? Any information, good or bad would be greatly appreciated.
I can stay two weeks in Cabo using a timeshare and frequent flier miles if I go in September. Is that a really bad idea? I know there's always a chance of a Hurricane or tropical storm but going in Sept means I can go for two weeks and use my miles. I live in Minnesota. What do you think?
What is the bus schedule from guerrero negro to tijuana?
HI my friend and i are 35 year old single professional women. We are planning a trip to Cabo late Dec. We want a more mature fun crowd. We like to relax and soak up the sun by day but definitely like to let our hair down and party at night. What is the best hotel for this? HELP! Thanks
Hello I am Canadian and my son and friend are in Mexico at a resort Hotel Riu Santa Fe in Baja California - Los Cabos, Mexico for a vacation first time travelling.. they went off the resort after being advised not too by myself and rented a sea Doo, my son's friends seaDoo apparently was damaged and now the venue wants 1300 USD for this before they leave the resort or Country. The establishment took a copy of the friends passport but wanted to take his passport.. and made him sign his name and a note saying he will pay by friday, today is monday. What should they do? I dont trust this is a scam.. but these young men are scared and were actually fearing for their life by the men operating this venue.Who could they contact that can be trusted there to either help them to pay and leave safely or to handle this situation. Or should they not pay and just leave the resort when it is time to fly back to canada? Advice please?
Can anyone advise on this? We'll be staying at the Fiesta Americana Los Cabos Resort. Ideally we'd like to go downtown so that we don't always eat at our hotel. We'll be staying for 4 days, and wondering if it would be worth it to rent a car. How close are the sightseeing/eating/activities to this area? If anyone can provide feedback, that would be great. Thanks in advance.
Our hotel package includes transportation to and from the resort from the airport. Can anyone tell us where to find it and avoid the time share vultures? Thank you!
We're going on a 7 day Mexican Riviera cruise in October. I'll be stopping by Cabo San Lucas Port of Call for two days... Day 1: 9:30am - 6pm and Day 2: 7am - 4pm. It's a short period of time, but i'd love to see the Arch and walk around town. I love sightseeing and touristy stuff, and if there are any historical places you can recommend, please do so! This is our first time there, so we are up for anything! One option for us is to go with the cruise excursions, but it's much more expensive. I understand it is probably a safer way to go because they will go by the cruise schedule but I'm looking for something more affordable. I read on some of the things to do and see in Cabo. Would I need a car to get to any of these places, like the Marina? Would you recommend any tours? Can we book a water taxi to get to the Arch when we get there or should we book in advance? Should we get a tour guide? Is the ATV tours worth it? Any advice would help! Thanks in advance.
