Hello, I am very confused about local taxes for tourists. I can't find info in every riad I will stay (Fes, Merrekesh, Essaouira) Just received email, and owners gave me different taxes in the very same city ! and the difference is 5x times, so I 'd be very happy if someone could give me some info about it, thank you in advance
Normally the tax you pay for your hotel room is included in the price stated.

Thank you very much for answer. i received contradicted information from different riads, One riad in Essaouira stays that tax ix 2.5 EUR per night/per person another riad, says it's less, riads in Merrekesh and Fas didn't confirm information, so now I am really confused, that's something wrong, One riad's owner stays actually 2 taxes - for tourism and sth else... together about 25 dirahm should I be more cautious now ?

Tha local taxes are mostly in a plaza,and that is what they called taxi station. Now from city to city are mostly Mercedes and you have to be 6 of you. city taxi are all kinds of small cares unless you are going from the hotel to the airop or the other way. The tourist taxes are more confrotable locking And most city taxes have a colore like Casa taxes are red, Marrakech are yalowish. all the best

Sorry, do not mean to be rude but your spelling here is not right. Taxi = transport for people to get around in. Tax = Goverment want money money on this and that.

Ignore tamrzit, although meening well, he missed the point! Tourism tax is normal here. It has to be paid! Some hotels simply include it in advance, whereas others list it seperately. Do not worry.
