Hi I have been quoted £130 return fare for a taxi from Marrakesh to Essaouira (not sure what this is in local currency). Is this reasonable? Haven't looked into buses but I'll be traveling with kids so looking for the most convenient way to get there. Thanks in advance
hi, that would be around 1,500 dirhams for about 200kms drive so i would say not expensive. yes, bus would be cheaper but not very comfy especially if you have kids. enjoy !

yes Sue/Windcitys price info is more what the price should be. and actually thats also around what a whole days grande taxi hire should be - also consider just gettting a rental car and use it to enjoy sights around Essaouira as well. the drive down to Agadir from there is very interesting and so is the road back up from Agadir to Marrakech - a good circuit. If youre worried about driving in Morocco its also been enjoyable for me and with good defensive driving skills about as safe as anywhere.

Sounds excessive to me. We pay 3,000 Dh to local guys to pick us up from airport although it might be more if we didn't hire cars from them regularly. 6,000 Dh is the max to spend on aiport pick up and drop off.
