Interpretation of wall tiles in entrance

The wall tiles in the entrance foyer show scenes of torture. Can you explain who is torturing whom and why? Are people being tortured for being Christian, or being tortured in an attempt to convert them to the Christian faith?

    Entrance of what? If you are talking about the Qaisarieh Portal, they depict "battle scenes of Shah Abbas the Great with Uzbeks", nothing to do with Christians (or otherwise) as such.
