Hi.... I will be in Tehran in November 14th to 18th. I really want to visit Esfahan, maybe for 1 day & 1 night. What kind of transportation i should take. Any suggestion on what i must see in Esfahan ? Thanks
I am going from Tehran to Esfahan at the end of this month. I will take the bus. The bus journey takes around 6 hours. U can also fly if u dont fancy the 6 hour journey. Or u can take an overnight train. One thing to bear in mind is that the buses have nt toilets and dont stop often. Mel

Take the plane (aound 30 USD) on-way. If you need to save on money, you can also take an overnight train, which should be less than 5 USD.

Hi , I heard the flights are more expensive these days, the problem is the Esfahan's airport is very far from the city :) so you are not going to save time by flying.

I just flew a month a go, so I can confirm that the prices is still ~ 30 USD. And you will stil save time by flying, even though it might take you half an hour to get to the airport by taxi (6000 Toman).

I think best choice for you is bus. you can take a ticket in early morning so you will be in Esfahan about noon. The address of bus terminal in nearby Azadi square. When you get there begin your visit with "Emam Square" there is the best of Esfahan & will take you half a day, near there is a museum and ChehelSotoon you walk to get there after that take local guide.
