Hi, How far is it from Istanbul to Ephesus and what are the best methods to travel in Turkey!

After your trip, what do you recommend? I'm going to Istanbul for 4 days. I know its very short, but I have an incredible desire to go to Ephesus. Your wisdom is greatly appreciated thanks

Maybe you should stay more than 4 days in Turkey because I would definetely recommend you to see Istanbul and Ephesus both :)

hi everybody!! reading you tips I had made up my mind: i will be arriving in athens on the 18th may. I will stay 1 day in athens to visit the city and on the 20th take a ferry to mykonos, in the night a ferry to samos and the day after anotherone to kusadasi. unfortunately i must be on the 22nd may in istanbul, so everything has to be rushing. on the 22 i will visit (in a hurry) Ephesus and then take a plane from IZmir to istanbul. this are my plans, though I have only the ticket from uruguay(my hometown) to athens, and back from istanbul to uruguay. If you think i should not do this ,or in this way, or if you would like to suggest something else, please tell me. thank you and I hope to see any of you on my trip

Hi Milenka, I just realized I was going to write you back but I never did. But it seems like you made up your mind already:) I hope you take some more time to visit Istanbul than Ephesus. Buket

Is the Ferry+Drive combination still the fastest way from Istanbul to Ephesus? I have only ONE day to get there! I must work until 4pm. Then I can leave for Ephesus. I plan on staying in Izmir late that night. Next morning drive to Ephesus. Then I have to go back to Istanbul that night.
