Two part question. We are a group of friends( from U.S.A. late 20's,early 30's)who plan on visiting Rimini in mid august strictly for partying. Is this a place for adult partying? Or is it more for 18-20yr olds? I hear it's being touted as the Miami of Italy. Having partied in Miami numerous times, I can say Miami definitely caters to a more adult crowd. As well, In regard to the partying, does it matter much whether we arrive on the weekend(say thurs,fri,sat,sun) or during the weekday? In other words will the pool/beach parties and clubs be just as crowded during august? Thank you for any insight

My brother and I are planning a trip of a week to 10 days in Emilia-Romagna in early fall 2013. We are active seniors and our interests are food, history and local culture. I can get by in Italian. We'd rather take public transportation to places but will consider limited driving. We'd love to tour prosciuto, cheese and vinegar works and museums in Parma and Modena. Would appreciate suggestions about central location and side trips. As foodies, we'd especially appreciate info on restaurants. Has anyone tried a Home Food meal there? Thanks.

Hi, I have looked at few booking sites already, but before I make final decision I would like to ask here: where do you recommend to stay for two nights during Fiera (7th- 11th November) that is not more than 50 kilometer from Bologna and affordable (no more than 200 euro for 2 nights for 4 people if that's realistic?? we'll go by car). Is there any agriturismo in that price range? I know it may be little late but still, the decision was just passed on recently and asking here perhaps won't hurt :) Thanks! v.

Hi, we are a group of frens (3 couple) in our early 30s and booked for our Italian vacation in June 2013. We are flying into Venice on 13th June and planning to stay 3 nights. Then we plan 2 spend 2 nights in Rimini. Pls suggest is it better to visit on Saturday- sunday (15-16 June) in Rimini or Sunday- Monday (16-17 June) is good as well? Just wanted to understand, being summers is everyday a great party day or weekends are better? Also, What is the best way to reach Rimini from Venice (by car on our Own) Or (By Train).

I am planning train travel bologna to venice for roundtrip for a day. I was planning to go earlier on the travel day e.g 06:00 am and return will be latest hours e.g 11:00 pm 1. Could I buy tickets on the travel day at the train staion? I think I can buy them by machine with cash or cards?Is it difficult to find ticket and seat buying at the station or should buy them online but i searched and no available seat on the time when i want to go, online searching. 2.Could my hotel's concierge buy for me if i request? I will visit Modena in November. I am eager to see the Cathedral, Torre Civica. Should I expect places to be closed, such as the Cathedral, after the earthquakes earlier this year? Usually while visiting new places we devote some time to the traditional culinary,its production, tasting, coocking etc. This year we will travel through Emilia-Romagna. I noticed that there are a lot of museums not far from Parma: Prosciuto di Parma,Parmigiano, Tomato and even Culinary House (Casa Artusi). Is any of them worth seeing? What I can skip? Unfortunately most of the sites are in Italian, so it's really hard to evaluate anything :( May be you can suggest something absolutely different in this sphere? Thank you in advance?

Several years ago my husband and I found a restaurant that we really enjoyed. We have been back on subsequent trips and always found it wonderful. But, suddenly we can't remember the name! It's located on Via Abruzzi, a few blocks up a hill from the main highway, it's on the right side of the road. Please help us - we want to recommend it to friends traveling next month. Thank you!!

Hello :-) I'll arrive in Bologna late in the evening (11 p.m.) and would like to stay very close to the airport to pick up my car (at airport's Europcar station) next morning. On google maps I saw Hotel Emi and Brianza just off the eastern section of the runway. And then there seems to be one (Sheraton? Aurora?) just 100 m west of the parking facilities. Anyone know one of these? Or has other suggestions? Thanks in advance Ingrid

Folks, Two couples looking for a central location to stay in Emilia Romagna for three days early in August. Interested n the local culture and food. We assume local B & B though small hotel might work. We have a car and will spend at least one day in Bologna, but think we best stay outside the city. We've been looking at Parma and Modena and if that makes sense, then can you suggest specific B&B, or hotel. Thanks in advance.
