We are planning to go to El Nido November 14-19. Two questions: 1) The weather forecast is solid rain the entire time. Does this mean that it will be raining all day long, or just sprinkles on and off? 2) Are there any recommended ways to get to the Underground River from El Nido? Thank you! Christina
El Nido is about a 6-7 hour drive from the Underground River. There is a way to get to the underground river but in reality for a trip that long I do not think its worth the time on the road.

What they usually give you is the possibility of rain. During the month of November and December, rains in the morning and afternoon are not that frequent but possible. Rains during the night as it becomes colder has a higher probability. It will not be raining all day long as storms/typhoons during this time is not expected.

yup, it should have been the start of the dry season. however, due to la nina, it is expected that there will be some more typhoons until december. if you're flying in from puerto princesa, i suggest that you go to the underground river on your first day and leave for el nido very early the following day. check out our blog on el nido at batangala.blogspot.com/2011/...

Hi Chelli. Voting of the new seven wonders is still continuing. The initial count does include the Underground river on the top 7 but the final decision won't be known until 2012.
